Applied Kinesiology

The practice of Applied Kinesiology (AK) incorporates a variety of assessment and treatment techniques to identify dysfunction in the body. The body is a well organized  purposeful machine, and disruptions to the bodies complex bio-mechanics hinder its performance and can lead to pain . The AK approach can utilize information acquired from Diagnostic muscle testing (consistent with Kendall and Kendall , medical muscle testing reference textbook), Acupuncture Meridian therapy ,Joint mobilization, Myofascial techniques and Cranio-Sacral based techniques To help provide information that can contribute to a more accurate diagnosis of the patients underlying condition. Dr.Stuart Greenspan has had the privilege to study under Dr.David Leaf (current president of applied kinesiology for the United States) for 375 hours over a period of greater than 20 yrs . The practice of Applied Kinesiology in my practice has allowed me to provide my patients with more stability ,strength ,balance, flexibility and ultimately long term resiliency. This is essential when working with athletes and is every bit as important to those who rely on their bodies for every day demands.
